The Lighthouse Club International Construction Conference on “Opportunities and Challenges for the Construction Industry in Hong Kong and Overseas” is hosted by the Lighthouse Club International and supported by the Hong Kong Institute of Civil and Building Information Management (HKICBIM). It will cover a number of important topics which are currently providing both opportunities and challenges for all participants in the construction industry.
Nowadays, all construction professionals will be faced with challenges, whether that be in relation to the health and safety of personnel under their supervision on site or potential defects in designs causing safety hazards and rectification work or risk of claims and disputes through poor contract documentation or poor contract administration or such other pitfalls inherent in any construction project. Such challenges are being met with opportunities through initiatives such as BIM, NEC and other collaborative initiatives to improve performance.
Since the conference is indented to provide a platform for exchange of best practices of BIM and the other construction technologies, HKICBIM believe that it will provide enriching experience for all of the participants.
